Welcome to Twin! We are an accredited provider of English tuition and a work experience and group tour provider, trusted by students, parents and agents around the world.

Founded in 1993, we have successfully developed a broad range of English courses, work placement opportunities and group travel services for students from the UK and overseas. Our English schools in Greenwich, Eastbourne and Dublin have standard and tailor-made programmes, offering great value for money, whether you are looking for courses or accommodation options to suit your needs.

You can be sure of the quality in our schools; London and Eastbourne schools have been accredited by the British Council for the Teaching of English in the UK and our newest school in Dublin, Twin English Centre Dublin (formerly Alpha College of English), is EAQUALS accredited.

Language courses

Course starts every Monday and is for all language levels.

TEC - General English

16 - 99 years old

If you want to improve your English skills, you will need to improve all of your key language skills. We want to make sure that you get the most out of your lessons so our General English course will focus on your:
  • Speaking and Listening
  • Pronunciation
  • Reading and Writing
  • Grammar and Vocabulary
You can choose how long you wish to enroll for, from 1 week to 24 weeks, either at one of our three English Centres or by joining a virtual classroom online.
We want to give you the freedom to choose how, when and for how long you want to study.
Our General English courses in the UK offer 20 lessons per week in either  morning or afternoon classes.

TEC - IELTS prep course

English 16 - 99 years old

Our IELTS Preparation course will:
  • Focus on improving your fluency, accuracy and confidence in English
  • Familiarise you with the Academic IELTS exam format while improving your exam technique
  • Help you develop a strategy so that you are able to perform to the best of your ability 
  • Improve your skills in all four core skills; reading, writing, speaking and listening 
IELTS is an element of our English Unlimited, Intensive English or as a part-time course option.  These courses give students knowledge and skills to help them reach the requirements they need to attend university and to help them prepare for their degree study. 
You don't need to be aiming to attend university to take this course, Academic IELTS is ideal for anyone who wants to better their English language ability.

TEC - English for Business Professionals

English 16 - 99 years old

This course is ideal for busy professionals who want to improve their business communication skills.
If you want to focus on improving your international communication skills - then this intensive course is for you! This course is not only aimed at improving an individual's General English and Workplace English communication skills. Businesses can also benefit. It will also help your future job prospects as you will have more experience communicating with clients and contacts from around the world.

Usually the check-in is one or two days before the start of the course, and check out on the day of graduation. You can change the dates in the form.

Staying with one of our trusted homestay hosts is the perfect way for students to settle into life in the UK for the first time. All of our hosts have been interviewed, and the accommodation they offer has been thoroughly vetted, to ensure it meets our high standards and those set out by the British Council. Great care has been taken to ensure the homestay host's environment is safe, welcoming and comfortable - helping you to feel at home!
The homestay hosts we recruit come from a wide range of social, ethnic and cultural backgrounds - reflecting the diverse cultures that make up Britain today, which gives you a rounded experience of our culture and lifestyle in the UK!

Twin offer a wide range of short and long term courses as well as vocational training programmes and internships. We have selected student hosts who can serve the needs of all types of stay.
The average travel time from homestay accommodation to  our London school is 60 minutes, over a distance of approximately 4 miles.  Students typically take the bus to the school which costs £1.50 each way.

  • Bed and board - B&B, half board and full board

  • Clean linen per week

The majority of our hosts are located in South East London, which makes travelling to and from the city simpler and easier. Most hosts are located close to a train station and/or bus stop, from where you will be able to travel to the school, your placement or Central London. We pay special attention to the small, but important details of your requirements to ensure that you have a thoroughly enjoyable, rewarding and safe time with us and our hosts.

Special Requirements
With advance notice we can cater for most types of special dietary requirements. Equally important - allergies and preferences, if stated, can be catered for.

Please also note that B&B accommodation is not a suitable option for 16-17 year-olds.
