International House Malta was founded in 2001. Its first location was on Gozo Island. in 2007, IH opened their adult school in St. Julians, and it also became the main centre where the school operates from. In 2005, IH also launched their summer programmes for young learners in the Nort of Malta.

Up to this day, the school still runs the three centres. Each centre offers different types of programmes and classes. You will surely be sent to the centre that matches best your needs in terms of type of classes, leisure activities & also accomodation. 

The school's objective is to give their students the academic excellence with a good value for money.

General English Courses

English 16 - 99 years old

General English courses are designed to give you the communicative confidence and competence to deal with everyday situations in English. This is the perfect choice if you want to learn English in Malta, combining your language course with a relaxing, fun-filled holiday.

In your lessons you will learn conversational skills, grammar structures and vocabulary, which will enable you to communicate effectively in a variety of social situations using the English language.

Studying a General English course, you will increase your vocabulary, enhance your grammar, improve your written work and strengthen your reading skills.

Exam Preparation Courses

English 16 - 99 years old

Coaching for IELTS, TRINITY, TESOL and CAMBRIDGE examinations deals with all aspects: reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar and vocabulary. 

Lessons focus on the skills needed to succeed in the exam being taken. 

Regular testing is also carried out to monitor progress and effectively deal with any language areas that require special attention.

Bed in a sharing room.

Belview features a number of single, double, triple and quadruple bedrooms. There is a large, very well equipped common kitchen and dinging room. There is also a living and TV lounge and a large roof terrace. All rooms have large balconies and are very well sun lit and airy. The premises are designed to enhance the opportunity of living with people of different nationalities.The venue is ideal for students who want to study and converse in English. Belview has a superb location. It is situated in a quiet, residential area of Swieqi, yet only a few hundred metres from the St. George Sandy beach (Blue Flag) and Paceville – the centre for night life in Malta. All amenities, restaurants, shops and the main bus terminus are also within easy reach.

Host families are all situated within a 20 minutes’ walking distance to the school. They are close to all amenities, including St. George’s bay sandy beach, restaurants, shops and the main bus terminus. Students have the choice of booking shared bedrooms, even when travelling alone, single bedrooms, private bathrooms, and executive single bedrooms.

Special dietary requirements, such as lactose intolerance, vegetarian menues, etc., are catered for upon request.

All the host families are fluent in English, therefore making it ideal for students who want to study and converse in English.

Cancellation Policies

We apply the booking and cancellation conditions of the partner school. Below is an excerpt from the cancellation conditions.

Cancellation prior to arrival
All cancellations are to be made in writing.
Cancellations made:
Twenty-nine [29] days prior to arrival: full refund
Twenty eight [28] to fourteen [14] days prior to arrival: 75% refund
Less than thirteen [13] days prior to arrival: no refund
No-show: no refund

Termination of Course
No refunds will be made once a student has commenced a course.

Cancellation due to visa refusal
In case of visa refusal a full refund less a €75 Cancellation Fee, applicable bank charges and any
additional expenses, shall be applied.
Particular conditions can be imposed by the school – e.g. no refund on accommodation booked during high season – at the time of application. In all cases, evidence of visa refusal is to be sent to the school.
