Learn English Online with EC Virtual

Do you dream of speaking English but are stuck at home and lack the motivation to work alone?
Take English lessons 2 hours daily in a small group (max. 8 people) with an English-speaking teacher. Following the confinement, the EC language school, which is present in 8 countries, makes these teachers available for online courses.

The EC school has found a solution for these students and teachers to continue to have classes but this time virtually despite the confinement. As in physics classes, the goal is to talk, understand, listen and interact with students and the English-speaking teacher. Classes take place every day for 2 hours (2x 45 minutes) which allows to keep a certain rhythm and to have quick results. To follow the lessons, you must install the Microsoft Team software on your computer.

Once the payment has been made on our platform, you will receive access to the software and the schedule by email as well as the link to the 30min online English test.

Courses are available for beginners to advanced levels, the online test will define your level.

How are the classes going?

1. Before class:

Your teacher will give you a pre-class assignment with relevant questions that students can discuss with their classmates in teams (in English!). This assignment can be a reading or listening to the course textbook, a video or relevant article, or a Flashpoint from EC Online. The students' conversations will be monitored by the teacher and their progress will be recorded online.

2. During the course

Students collaborate via video with small groups of 4 to 8 students from around the world and their teacher. They define objectives and goals, discuss the questions and tasks of the pre-class assignment, review the questions and set up the post-class collaboration activity and the pre-class assignment for the next day.
This is a much more intensive course than a normal face-to-face session!

3. After the course

Students are invited to work on a post-class written or oral collaboration activity that they upload to Teams (the software). As with the pre-class work, they chat virtually with their group and the teacher monitors the chat.
